Below are the progresses on designing my E-Wallpaper for assignment 1.
Step 1 :
I open a new file
and select the preset as international paper. After that I select the A4 size and the image size is 297mm width and 210mm height. I then fill the background color with sky blue.
Step 2 :
I open a picture file which I want to make it as my background picture for my E-Wallpaper. I go to the button select > select all and copy it to the new file I created just now. I go to the button edit >free transform to re-size it until it match the picture. I then label the name of the first layer as Wallpaper Background.
Step 3 :
I go to the button layer > layer style > outer glow to make my picture look like glowing, I set the size as 250px.
Step 4 :
I copy the FOM building picture and paste it inside the main wallpaper. Before I copy it, I use
"quick selection tool" to select the building that I want. I
also use the "quick selection tool" to select the part i want to put in my picture. After that, I select "paste into" to paste the thing I copied into the area I selected. I then adjusted the size using edit > free transform.
Step 5 :
I add wordings by using the type tools > horizontal type tools. Then i change the font to "Showcard Gothic" and change its color to red. I then add effects to it which are drop shadow, stroke and outer glows style.
Step 6 :
Again, I add wordings by using the type tools > horizontal type tools. Then i change the font to "Tw Cen MT Condensed Extra Bold" and change its color to white. I then add effects to it which are drop shadow and stroke as black color.
Step 7 :
Then I add some information about the open day like venue, date and time by using type tools.
Step 8 :
I open a logo of Multimedia University. I then use "magic wand tool" and select the white color part that I do not need. I use "eraser tool" to erase the white color part. After that I move it into the main wallpaper and I go to the button edit > free transform to re-size it into suitable size.
Step 9 :
I add wordings by using the type tools > horizontal type tools. Then i change the font to "Berlin Sans FB Demi" and change its color to white. I then add effects to it which are drop shadow and stroke as blue.
Step 10 :
I open a picture file. I then use "magnetic lasso tool" and select the part I want. Then I use "move tool" to move it into the main wallpaper and I go to the button edit > free transform to re-size it into suitable size. After that I use "brush tool" and add a yellow star beside the picture file I added just now.
This is the final E-Wallpaper that I made. :)
